Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Dietary Manager to lead our nutrition and dietary services team. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of healthcare nutrition management, regulatory compliance, and operational leadership within a healthcare setting. As the Dietary Manager, you will oversee all aspects of dietary operations, ensuring the delivery of high-quality nutritional care that aligns with medical management standards and health regulation policies. Your strategic vision and team leadership will drive continuous improvement in service quality, operational efficiency, and patient satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor dietary programs that meet clinical nutrition standards and comply with healthcare regulations such as JCAHO accreditation requirements.
- Lead and supervise dietary staff, including nutritionists, dietitians, and support personnel, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.
- Ensure compliance with health regulation policies, including safety protocols, sanitation standards, and patient dietary restrictions.
- Collaborate with medical leadership to integrate nutritional care into overall patient treatment plans and medical management strategies.
- Oversee operational management of dietary services, including inventory control, food safety practices, and cost management to optimize resource utilization.
- Drive performance improvement initiatives (PI) aimed at enhancing service quality, patient outcomes, and operational efficiency.
- Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams such as nursing, healthcare management, and administrative departments to support seamless service delivery.
- Stay informed on healthcare financial management practices to ensure budget adherence while maintaining high standards of care.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of medical management principles within a healthcare environment.
- Proven experience in healthcare management with a focus on dietary or nutritional services.
- Strong understanding of health regulation policies such as JCAHO standards and other relevant compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through managerial communication and strategic management skills.
- Expertise in operations management, including inventory control, food safety protocols, and resource allocation.
- Experience in nursing leadership or medical leadership roles enhances ability to coordinate clinical nutritional care.
- Skilled in cross-functional collaboration to align dietary services with overall healthcare goals and initiatives.
- Familiarity with healthcare financial management practices to support sustainable operations.
