The Estimator/Engineering Technician is a role that supports both estimating and engineering functions. This position focuses on administrative and coordination tasks rather than highly technical responsibilities. The role involves preparing cost estimates, assisting with project setup, managing tooling logistics, and supporting engineers with documentation and customer deliverables. Estimating Responsibilities
- Gather details and compile data to assist in estimating production costs according to specifications.
- Prepare costing sheets for quoting purposes and maintain accurate records in the CRM system.
- Research cost-effective alternative vendors for materials and assist with sourcing efforts.
- Support the estimating team with data entry, documentation, and follow-up on outstanding information.
Project Engineering Support
- Assist Project Engineers with initiating and maintaining projects in the CRM database, including setting up Gantt charts and timelines.
- Manage physical tooling locations and coordinate ordering and receiving tools, fixtures, and dies.
- Help create prototypes for customer evaluation and approval.
- Complete and submit required forms and documentation for customers.
- Provide general administrative support to engineering, including scheduling, file management, and communication with internal departments.

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED).
Experience: Two to four years related experience supporting project management and/or engineers in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
Computer Skills: Advanced Microsoft Office Suite software knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint). Must have previously used a manufacturing system (AutoCAD, Salesforce, SAP) on a regular basis. Strong internet navigation skills. Experience with Acumatica platform a plus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position is primarily performed in a climate-controlled office environment that is well-lit with minimal noise and distractions.
