We’re looking for a server assistant who is enthusiastic and excels in a fast-paced environment. As a server assistant, you’ll be bringing customers to their seats, helping serve food, refilling water glasses and other beverages, and restocking food items in the kitchen and servers’ stations. You’ll clear and clean tables, and reset them with tableware and napkins for the next guests. You’ll also field customer inquiries and menu questions and let servers know when they are needed. You should know about food safety rules, and having previous food experience is preferred but not required. Compensation:
$12 hourly
Responsibilities:-
Responsible for ensuring kitchen and server stations are kept fully stocked with condiments and all necessary items
- Serve customers water, and other beverages, bring drinks to them, and make sure all condiments are refilled and placed on the table
- Show customers to their tables, address any requests from customers, and respond to them in a timely manner
- Clear dirty dishes from tables, clean tables, and prepare for the next guests by resetting tables with clean silverware and napkins
- Handle delivering food from the kitchen to the table on time. Ask if you can help with anything else before leaving the table
Qualifications:-
Prior experience working in the food service industry is preferred, but not required
- This position requires a high school diploma or a GED equivalent
- Has the ability to stand, bend, and lift for longer periods of time for the duration of the shift
- Willing to work some nights, weekends, and some holidays, plus pick up extra shifts if necessary
- Familiarity with proper handling of food and drinks and kitchen equipment
