CFS is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead janitorial and facility operations in a high-traffic airport environment. This role oversees daily operations, staffing, client relations, and service performance, ensuring all work meets contract standards, safety requirements, and customer expectations. You will serve as the primary point of contact for airport stakeholders while managing multi-shift teams and driving consistent, high-quality service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperations & Service Delivery
- Manage 24/7 cleaning operations across concourse areas (restrooms, gates, seating, corridors, escalators, elevators)
- Ensure compliance with contract scope, SOPs, and aviation standards
- Conduct daily inspections and walkthroughs to maintain quality standards
- Monitor and maintain high inspection and customer satisfaction scores
- Identify issues and implement immediate corrective actions
Scheduling & Workforce Management
- Create and manage employees' schedules and activity levels
- Ensure full coverage for all roles: restroom, detail, gate, trash, and floor tech teams
- Adjust staffing in real time for call-outs, attendance, and operational needs
- Manage timekeeping/payroll systems (Paylocity)
- Coordinate break coverage to eliminate service gaps
Task & Work Order Management
- Assign and track daily, weekly, and monthly tasks, including:
- Routine cleaning and maintenance
- Deep cleaning (night shift resets)
- Floor care (scrubbing, stripping, burnishing)
- Utilize systems such as Raken, SharePoint, or similar tools for:
- Work logs and inspections
- Incident reporting
- Task tracking
- Ensure all service requests and work orders are logged, assigned, and completed on time
Client Relations & Customer Service
- Act as the primary liaison with airport and facility management
- Attend daily client meetings and provide updates on staffing, performance, and issues
- Resolve concerns with urgency and professionalism
- Ensure team delivers excellent customer service in a public-facing environment
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years in facility management, janitorial, or operations leadership
- Experience managing large teams in fast-paced environments (airport experience a plus)
- Strong knowledge of:
- Commercial cleaning and floor care
- Safety and compliance standards
- Proven leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with timekeeping and reporting systems preferred
