Duties
- Use hand tools, power tools, and sewing machines to cut, sew, and install upholstery materials such as fabric, leather, vinyl, and foam.
- Measure and fit upholstery components accurately to ensure seamless installation and a polished finish.
- Repair or replace damaged upholstery sections in vehicles requiring restoration or customization.
- Assist in the assembly of interior components, including seats, door panels, headliners, and dashboards.
- Follow detailed instructions and safety procedures to ensure quality workmanship and workplace safety.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and meet deadlines.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and productivity.
Requirements
- Proven experience with hand tools, power tools, sewing machines, and sewing techniques related to upholstery work.
- Knowledge of auto restoration processes and familiarity with vehicle interior components.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on quality craftsmanship.
- Physical stamina to stand, kneel, bend, and lift for extended periods during installation tasks.
- Basic understanding of manufacturing or assembly processes is preferred.
