Jolly Wrappers is a new physical retail concept offering professional gift-wrapping services, launching in Edina, MN with plans for multi-location growth. As part of the Pash Company portfolio — a Minneapolis-based venture studio — Jolly Wrappers combines a seasonal, high-volume service model with a streamlined order/queue management system designed for speed, quality, and a delightful customer experience.
Position Summary
The Retail Store Manager will lead day-to-day operations for Jolly Wrappers, owning everything from staffing and scheduling to inventory, customer experience, and order fulfillment. This role is foundational to the brand's launch and is expected to grow alongside the business. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, seasonal retail environments and brings a hands-on, problem-solving mindset to a brand-new operation.

Key Responsibilities
Store & Team Operations
- Oversee daily store operations, ensuring smooth workflow from customer drop-off through gift-wrap completion and pickup/shipping
- Recruit, hire, train, and schedule wrapping associates and seasonal staff, with particular attention to peak-season staffing ramps
- Build and maintain staffing schedules that flex with seasonal demand (holiday peak vs. off-season)
- Set and uphold quality standards for gift-wrapping craftsmanship and turnaround times
Inventory & Vendor Management
- Manage inventory levels and reordering across wrapping supplies, packaging materials, and equipment
- Coordinate with supply vendors (e.g., Mr. GiftWrap, Nashville Wraps) to ensure adequate stock and resolve fulfillment issues
- Track equipment functionality (workstations, dispensers, racks) and coordinate maintenance or replacement as needed
Order Fulfillment & Customer Experience
- Manage the order portal queue, ensuring accurate, timely processing of in-store and online orders
- Oversee shipping operations (e.g., USPS Click-N-Ship) for mail-in or ship-out orders
- Resolve customer issues and escalations with a service-first approach
- Monitor customer feedback and identify opportunities to improve speed, quality, or experience
Financial & Reporting
- Manage store-level budget, including labor costs, supply costs, and other operating expenses
- Track and report on key performance metrics (orders processed, turnaround time, labor cost %, customer satisfaction)
- Support point-of-sale reconciliation and daily cash/sales reporting
Cross-Functional & Growth
- Partner with Pash Company leadership on launch execution, including opening readiness and post-launch optimization
- Support the rollout and refinement of the order portal/tech systems used in-store
- Help establish repeatable processes (SOPs, training materials) that can grow with the business
- Contribute ideas and on-the-ground insight that help shape the direction of Jolly Wrappers as it scales
Marketing & Social Media
- Own day-to-day social media presence for Jolly Wrappers, including regular posting, content creation, and community engagement
- Develop and execute local marketing initiatives to drive foot traffic and seasonal awareness (in-store promotions, local partnerships, holiday campaigns)
- Capture in-store content (photos, video) showcasing the wrapping process, finished gifts, and customer experience for use across social channels
- Partner with Pash Company leadership on broader marketing strategy and brand consistency
Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of retail or service operations management experience, ideally in a fast-paced or seasonal environment
- Demonstrated experience managing hourly staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage inventory, vendors, and budgets
- Comfortable with point-of-sale systems, basic order/queue management software, and learning new tech tools
- Experience managing social media accounts for a business (posting, content creation, basic analytics) — this role owns the brand's day-to-day presence
- Excellent customer service instincts and conflict-resolution skills
- Flexibility to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and extended hours during peak holiday season
- Strong communication skills and comfort working in a startup environment with evolving processes
Preferred
- Experience in a launch or new-store-opening capacity
- Experience with seasonal retail businesses (holiday, gifting, or similar)
- Familiarity with shipping/fulfillment workflows (e.g., USPS Click-N-Ship)
- Background in local/small-business marketing, including running paid social campaigns or community partnerships
- Comfortable being on camera or directing simple photo/video content for social channels
- Hands-on or craft-oriented skill set (an eye for presentation/quality is a plus, though wrapping technique can be trained)
Compensation
Base Salary: $55,000 annually, with quarterly bonus opportunity tied to performance
