Thursday 8:30a-5p

Duties:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional customer service by answering phones professionally, screening calls, taking accurate messages, checking patients in and out, scheduling appointments, and responding to patient needs promptly, courteously, and efficiently.
- Perform front office responsibilities including insurance verification, updating patient demographics and insurance information, collecting co-pays, payments for services and supplements, obtaining required signatures, ordering specialty laboratory kits, and maintaining accurate inventory of medical supplies. Assist with refilling the dispensary and fulfilling patient supplement refill requests.
- Develop a thorough understanding of our natural healthcare services, testing, and nutritional products in order to confidently educate and assist patients with purchases and general questions.
- Conduct Resting Metabolic Rate (RMR) testing on Fridays according to established protocols.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception area, waiting room, and front office while proactively identifying tasks that contribute to an efficient and professional environment.
- Perform administrative duties including scanning, filing, photocopying, faxing, data entry, and maintaining accurate electronic medical records.
- Work collaboratively with providers and team members, demonstrating flexibility, initiative, accountability, and a willingness to assist wherever needed to support daily operations and exceptional patient care.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and comply with all HIPAA policies, practice procedures, and applicable regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and continuing education as required.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management to support the needs of the practice.
Competencies
- One year of medical office or customer service experience is preferred.
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service skills with a warm, professional, efficient and compassionate demeanor.
- Reliable, dependable, and punctual with a strong work ethic and commitment to accountability.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to remain calm, kind, and professional in all situations.
- Strong computer skills with the ability to quickly learn electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other office software.
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills with the ability to accurately process payments, balance transactions, and maintain attention to detail.
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities, manage multiple tasks simultaneously, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Self-motivated with the initiative to identify work that needs to be done, remain productive throughout the day, and contribute to the success of the team.
- Demonstrates flexibility, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new skills, accept feedback, and embrace change.
- Works collaboratively with physicians, management, and team members while maintaining professionalism, integrity, and respect.
- Maintains strict confidentiality and exercises sound judgment when handling sensitive patient information.
Compensation:
· Starting position is $18-$20 (depending on experience)
