As a Cashier/Server:
- Must be able to work late shifts (9p-2a)
- Will receive team tips for shift.
- Greet and welcome all guests and guide them through our food menu.
- Always maintain a positive and proactive attitude
- Record food orders accurately and immediately after receipt into the POS system.
- Ensure guest satisfaction by engaging in conversation.
- Ensure closing duties are complete.
- Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Coney Island
- Deliver orders from kitchens and pick up and serve food when it is ready.
- Prepare bills for food and accept payment or make change.
- Assist in preparing food or food item according to standard portion sizes and recipe specifications or directions.
- Wrap menu item for takeout.
- Balance receipts and payments in cash registers.
- Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary.
- Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment.
- Replenish foods at serving stations.
- Attend all scheduled employee meetings and offers suggestions for improvement.
- Coordinate with and assist fellow employees to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant.
- Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
- Take guest orders and write ordered items on tickets, giving ticket stubs to customers when needed to identify filled orders.
- Order items needed to replenish supplies.
- Set up dining areas for meals and clear them following meals.
- Add relishes and garnishes to food orders, according to instructions.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour
