- Performs all quality control and instrument check procedures and maintains related records. Performs quality control testing according to established protocols 95% of the time.
- Performs and records preventive maintenance procedures 95% of the time.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-services, and workshops; applies to laboratory. Attends at least one outside seminar per year or equivalent. Suggests at least one workable idea for improving productivity or procedure to improve quality.
- Demonstrates good judgement. Initiates resolution of instrument/QC problems without manager 95% of the time. Able to resolve personnel problems without manager’s assistance 95% of the time.
- Adheres to safety practices, reports accidents/hazards and maintains equipment as outlined in hospital policies.
He or she will be required to follow any other instructions and to perform any other duties requested by his or her supervisor.
This is a full time position, 3 - 12 hour shifts, 7p-7a Flexible Team player required. Weekend fill in may be required. Holiday rotation required.
