POSITION SUMMARY: The cashier/food runner is responsible for taking guests’ orders, ringing in orders, taking payment from the guests and bringing prepared food to guests’ tables.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Hold the guest as the most important priority at all times; tact, good manners, mature judgement should be used in all guest interactions
-
Enthusiastically greet the guest as they walk through the door, making eye contact and smiling
-
Take the order listening closely to ensure every order is filled promptly and accurately, educating guests on products offered and using suggestive selling when appropriate
-
Ensure orders are entered in the point of sale system accurately
-
Operate the cash register and collect payment from the guest
-
Deliver the order to our guests, ensuring accuracy by repeating the order detail to the guests
-
Thank the guest and invite to return again
-
Answer telephones, responding to guest inquiries and assisting with take out orders
-
Communicate guest feedback to restaurant management
-
Resolve guest concerns politely and quietly, with respect and a sense of urgency
-
Understand in-store marketing promotions
-
Execute new product rollouts including selling to guests and product execution
-
Utilize cash control procedures
-
Assist with routine restaurant cleaning responsibilities, including cleaning the cashier area and table bussing

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

Ability to stand/walk for 8 hours per day

Must be able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs

Will frequently reach, bend, lift, carry, stoop, fine manipulation throughout the shift.

Must be able to work in both warm and cool environments, indoors and outdoors

Must be able to tolerate higher levels of noise from restaurant machinery, music, and customers

Must be able to tolerate potential allergens: peanut products, egg, dairy, gluten, soy, and seafood
