We are seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to provide clinical leadership and oversee quality patient care, regulatory compliance, documentation, staff development, and performance improvement.
Qualifications
- Current Ohio RN license.
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience.
- BSN preferred or equivalent professional experience
- Working knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PASSPORT, Ohio MyCare and other applicable service programs.
- Knowledge of OASIS, electronic clinical documentation and regulatory requirements.
- Very strong computer, organizational, and leadership skills.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and guidance to nursing, clinical, and paraprofessional staff.
- Oversee the clinical documentation process to ensure records are accurate, complete, and timely.
- Monitor OASIS data collection and correction processes in accordance with established procedures.
- Review admissions and discharges for clinical appropriateness, coverage, completeness, and timeliness.
- Ensure compliance with Medicare, Medicaid, state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in Medicaid and Medicare surveys and assist with regulatory preparedness and corrective actions.
- Assist with the orientation and onboarding of clinical staff.
- Identify clinical or documentation concerns and collaborate with staff and leadership to develop effective solutions.
- Maintain and update clinical policies and procedures to ensure continued regulatory compliance.
- Evaluate clinical staff performance.
- Collaborate with the management team and exercise appropriate authority in clinical decision-making.
- Serve as Alternate Administrator in the Administrator’s absence.
- Provide administrative clinical on-call coverage as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Ideal Candidate:
A strong clinical leader with the ability to support a multidisciplinary team is essential. Additionally, the ideal candidate must be fluent with standard business and clinical software. Experience with audits and surveys is also preferred. In-house training in these tasks will be provided to candidates that are otherwise qualified.
