Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Collision Repair/Refinish(2 separate positions) Technician to join our dynamic team. This role involves restoring vehicles to their original condition through expert collision repair, refinishing, and detailing. The ideal candidate will have experience working in dealership environments or auto body shops, with a strong background in automotive repair and refinishing techniques. This position offers an opportunity to work with advanced tools and techniques, contributing to high-quality vehicle restoration and customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Perform collision repairs including frame straightening, panel replacement, and structural repairs using MIG welding, sheet metal work, and fabrication techniques.
- Refinish vehicles utilizing auto painting, airless paint spraying, and auto glass replacement methods to achieve a professional finish.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering equipment for various repair tasks.
- Conduct vehicle maintenance and detailing to ensure vehicles meet quality standards before delivery.
- Assist with auto restoration projects involving classic or vintage vehicles, applying specialized skills such as auto estimating and heavy lifting when necessary.
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress and addressing client concerns professionally.
Requirements
- Proven dealership experience or background in auto body repair preferred.
- Proficiency with MIG welding, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and vehicle maintenance procedures.
- Experience working with sheet metal, auto painting, auto glass installation, and auto restoration projects.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and other auto body repair tools.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during repair processes.
- Good understanding of auto estimating processes and customer service principles.
- Mechanical experience or mechanic background is highly desirable.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. Pay: $22.00 - $28.00 per hour
