Join our Gomez team as a Server and become the heart of an energetic dining experience! In this role, you will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure smooth food and beverage operations, and create memorable moments for every guest.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide attentive, friendly service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS system, ensuring timely delivery
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain knowledge of menu offerings, including all food and drink specials
- Handle cash and credit card transactions accurately
- Ensure food safety standards and TABC regulations are met at all times
- Follow all sanitation protocols and proper food handling procedures
- Assist with bussing tables, resetting dining areas, and supporting kitchen staff when needed to ensure efficient service flow
- Perform opening and closing duties in a quick, efficient manner
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build guest relations and handle diverse guest needs gracefully
- Familiarity with Aloha POS, for order processing and billing
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy service periods
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance guest satisfaction and restaurant revenue
- Basic math skills for accurate cash handling, check splitting, and billing procedures
- Knowledge of food safety regulations, sanitation standards, and proper food handling techniques
- Previous experience in host/hostess roles or serving positions preferred but not required; a passion for hospitality is essential
