Responsibilities
- Efficiently wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment following food safety sanitizing procedures.
- Assist with basic food handling and preparation tasks as needed to support kitchen operations.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dishwashing area, including sinks, counters, and storage spaces.
- Support food safety management by adhering to hygiene standards and proper manual handling techniques.
- Help with bussing tables and clearing dining areas to ensure a tidy environment for guests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff during catering or banquet events to manage high-volume dishwashing needs.
- Follow all health and safety regulations related to food safety, cleaning protocols, and heavy lifting procedures.
Experience
- Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a strong work ethic.
- Familiarity with food safety sanitizing procedures and basic kitchen operations is advantageous.
- Experience in food service or catering environments can enhance your ability to support busy service periods.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely, including heavy lifting of dish racks and equipment.
