Reporting to the Member Services Manager, The Zone Attendant will manage and implement activities in a setting designed to provide children a safe and enriching place to be supervised while their parents/guardians are in other areas of the Center. This individual must maintain high personal standards and adhere to and carry out the Purpose and Values of Greater Midland.
Major Job Responsibilities:
- Maintains appropriate documentation and records for each child.
- Maintains a good relationship with parents through regular communication and active participation with children.
- Provide homework or tutoring assistance to the children at the parents’ request.
- Encourages children to participate in developmentally appropriate games and learning activities.
- Prepares the area for the program by ensuring toys, supplies, play areas, storage areas, and furniture are safe, clean, sanitized, organized, and well maintained.
- Ensure safety of the children at all times as that is our number one priority.
- Consistently demonstrate leadership behaviors aligned with Greater Midland’s Values.
Qualifications:
- Minimum age of 16 years old
- CPR/First Aid Training within 60 days of hire
- Experience working with children preferred
Physical Requirements
Bending and stooping, lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds may be required of this position. Various hours may include early mornings, late evenings, and weekends.
