Olea Pediatric Therapy is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapy Registered (OTR) to join our team. As an OTR, you will work with children of all ages who have physical, sensory, cognitive, and developmental challenges. You will be responsible for conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy services to our clients.
Olea Pediatric Therapy is an outpatient pediatric clinic located in New Hope, Minnesota that also contracts with various ABA facilities in the Twin Cities. The OTR will join a team of 15 SLP's, 10 occupational therapists, and 10 COTA's to offer exceptional assessment, treatment, and team collaboration to children with a variety of disabilities. This position offers the opportunity to work with a culturally and linguistically diverse group of clients and families. The position will include providing OT services in the ABA setting.
- Work week is typically Monday-Friday. Option to work 4 10-hour days or 5 8-hour days per week. Hours are flexible!
- Pay: starting at $34/hour and will go up from there based on experience.
Responsibilities:
- Perform initial evaluations and assessments of clients to identify their strengths and challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for each client
- Provide individual and group therapy services to children with a variety of diagnoses, including but not limited to, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Developmental Delays, and Sensory Processing Disorder
- Utilize a variety of treatment modalities, such as sensory integration, neurodevelopmental techniques, and play-based therapy, to promote clients' development and functional skills
- Provide parent/caregiver education and home programs to facilitate carryover of therapy goals into daily routines
- Document client progress and treatment notes in compliance with clinic and regulatory guidelines
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as speech therapists, physical therapists, and psychologists, to provide interdisciplinary care
- Participate in team meetings, in-service trainings, and community outreach events to promote the clinic and advocate for the profession
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- Current state license to practice as an Occupational Therapist
- Pediatric experience, preferably in an outpatient or school-based setting
- Knowledge of developmental milestones, evidence-based treatment approaches, and relevant assessments
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to establish rapport with children and families
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and independently with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of clients and the clinic
- Basic computer skills and proficiency in electronic documentation
