Underground Supply West is a manufacturer of PVC elbows and couplings used in underground utility construction, based in South Phoenix, AZ.
Summary
Operate a saw to cut PVC plastic tubing to specification and operate a forklift to transfer cut material and stock throughout the facility. Produce parts accurately, safely, and in accordance with company specifications.
**All candidates must successfully complete a drug test and a background check prior to being hired**
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate a saw to cut PVC tubing to required lengths and specifications
- Verify cut dimensions and inspect material for quality and defects
- Operate a forklift to move, load, and transfer PVC tubing and finished material
- Stage, package, and store materials in designated areas
- Keep the saw, work area, and equipment clean and in safe working order
- Identify and verify parts, with working knowledge of company product lines
- Remove damaged or out-of-spec materials from stock
- Perform other duties as assigned
Required Skills and Qualifications
Through prior background and experience, the candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- Forklift operating experience; ability to obtain or hold forklift certification
- Ability to stand for 8 hours
- Comfort working outdoors for the entirety of the shift
- Ability to perform repetitive work
- Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
- Knowledge of, and adherence to, company policies and procedures
- Experience operating a saw or similar cutting equipment (PVC or plastics experience a plus)
- Punctuality for scheduled work times
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
