Job Description:
This position will be responsible for the assembly, repair and testing of aerospace components in accordance to company specifications. This includes the use of precision tools, fixtures and measuring equipment to perform assembly, inspections, calibration and tests. Additional duties include:
- Detect and report faulty components and processes.
- Maintain the required documentation and records accurately and within schedule.
- Visually inspect parts and product for quality.
- Utilize the aerospace industries best practices in daily operations.
- Maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
- Work overtime, including occasional weekends.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Skills:
- Ability to read and follow detailed instructions.
- Ability to use precision tools to assemble, disassemble, and troubleshoot complicated aircraft components and assemblies.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and diagrams of mechanical, electronic and hydraulic components and assemblies.
- Ability to effectively interface with customers, team members and individuals with technical discussions and solutions.
Knowledge:
- High School diploma or GED
- Understanding of industry standards for mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems and the application of mechanical-electro-hydraulic components.
- A&P certification is preferred.
- 2 year Degree in Mechanical or technical field of understanding of the principles of mechanics, hydraulics or electronics, or equivalent experience.
Experience:
- Experience in repair, troubleshooting, maintaining and application of mechanical/electrical/hydraulic aircraft components and systems.
- Experience with 3-D and 2-D Cad drawings/schematics/diagrams
- Experience with adaptive problem solving approach and implementing solutions.
- Experience in providing support to engineering, project management, production, overhaul, and mechanical engineering team members.
Work Eligibility (ITAR): This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident or persons with protected status.
