We are a new, independently owned practice that opened March 2026. Heal aims to bring a unique approach to the veterinary specialty practice workspace through building an environment built on trust, transparency, intention, and constant improvement.

Position Summary:
Veterinary Assistants will be integral to providing excellent patient and client care. Someone that is personable and able to communicate with clarity and kindness will ensure the client is an active participant in the pet's care, allowing for the best outcomes. A responsible and self motivated person that ensures exam and treatment areas are prepared for patients will allow veterinarians and technicians to work to the full extent of their licenses. Advocating for patients and utilizing low stress techniques will ensure high quality care for the pets and improve client satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Review medical records and collect patient history from clients/owners
- Obtain vital signs
- Work with and restrain cats and dogs utilizing fear free/low stress principles
- Draw blood, place IV catheters, and administer medications as instructed
- Perform or assist with diagnostic tests such as radiographs, in house lab work, and sample collection
- Assist veterinarian and veterinary technicians with exams and procedures
- Educate clients/owners and answer questions with compassion, empathy, and kindness
Job Requirements:
- Active veterinary medication clerk license in the state of Washington
- If you do not have an active veterinary med clerk license you must pass an internal exam and apply for the license within 60days of start date
- 2-3 years experience in veterinary medicine.
- Ability to work with chemotherapy and other hazardous drugs while wearing required PPE including respiratory protection
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds unassisted

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
