About the Role
We are a growing personal chef and catering business seeking an experienced Lead Chef to support private clients and select events. This role is ideal for a skilled, organized chef who enjoys creative cooking, client interaction, and working independently while being part of a collaborative, supportive operation.
You will lead execution for in home dinners, small catered events, and occasional plated experiences. This is not a restaurant job. It is personal, polished, and detail driven.
Responsibilities
- Execute private chef services and catered events to a high standard
- Prepare and plate upscale meals including plated and family style service
- Manage prep, cooking, plating, and cleanup with professionalism
- Follow established menus while contributing creative input when appropriate
- Communicate clearly before and during events regarding timing and needs
- Maintain food safety, organization, and cleanliness at all times
- Represent the business professionally in clients’ homes and venues
- Occasionally assist with prep or execution for larger events
Qualifications
- 5+ years professional cooking experience (restaurant, catering, or private chef)
- Comfortable with plated service and elevated presentation
- Strong time management and ability to work independently
- Calm, adaptable, and solutions oriented under pressure
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the region
- ServSafe certification preferred
- Must be professional, personable, and client facing confident
