Building Maintenance Technician
Shift: 3rd Shift Sunday- Thursday 9:30pm – 6am + mandatory overtime
Pay: Based initially on experience and adjusted per demonstrated skills and performance.
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Technician to support a wide range of facility and equipment maintenance needs. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, problem‑solving ability, and a willingness to learn.
Duties include but are not limited to:
· Electrical Controls
· Reading electrical schematics
· Mechanical and electrical repairs of overhead doors, dock levelers and dock locks.
· Rough and finish carpentry
· Plumbing ranging from clogged toilets to 24” underground mains
· Reading structural and utility prints
· Maintaining and repairing industrial equipment
· Repairing and maintaining fire systems
Candidates should have the following skills, knowledge and traits:
· Knowledge and troubleshooting of relay logic controls
· Good mechanical knowledge and abilities
· Plumbing skills, general building and construction knowledge
· Be willing to learn and take instruction, have good problem-solving abilities and work well with others
· Must have knowledge of electrical motors and controls, and how to use a multi meter.
· Good communication skills, ability to work any shift and overtime as needed.
Experience in all areas is not required; however, candidates who can demonstrate skills and knowledge of electrical controls, relay logic, or good problem-solving abilities will be given additional consideration.
