Position SummaryThe Preschool Special Education Teacher is responsible for developing and implementing individualized educational programs for preschool students with disabilities. The successful candidate will foster a positive classroom environment while collaborating with families, related service providers, and school staff to support each child's growth and development.
Essential Responsibilities-
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for preschool students with disabilities.

Design and deliver specialized instruction that addresses students' unique developmental and educational needs.

Create a safe, engaging, and supportive classroom environment that promotes learning and independence.

Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of goals and outcomes.

Conduct assessments and use data to guide instructional planning.

Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, therapists, and administrators to ensure appropriate services and supports.

Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and educational goals.

Participate in IEP meetings and coordinate services for students receiving special education support.

Promote inclusion, equity, and positive social-emotional development for all students.
QualificationsRequired:-
Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.

Valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in Special Education.

Knowledge of special education laws, regulations, and best practices.

Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to differentiate instruction and meet a wide range of student needs.
Preferred:-
Experience working with preschool-aged children with disabilities.

Experience developing and implementing IEPs.

School-based special education experience.
