American Traveler is hiring a Registered Nurse for a NICU position requiring at least 3 years of NICU experience and a CA RN license.

Work in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) II/III of a hospital setting
-
Care for neonates across gestational ages, including those less than 24-28 weeks, 29-34 weeks, and greater than 34 weeks
-
Patient ratio of 1:2

Day shift schedule (3x12 hours), 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM

Rotating weekend shifts required
-
Required to attend high-risk deliveries

Active CA RN License
-
Current BLS and NRP certifications (AHA or ARC)

Minimum 3 years of NICU experience required

Prior travel nursing experience required

Charge nurse experience preferred

Stable NRP certification preferred

2 references obtained within the last year
-
Nursys license verification uploaded within the last 2 weeks

Provide neonatal intensive care to a range of patient acuities, including extremely premature infants

Attend high-risk deliveries as part of care team responsibilities

Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius

Former employees must have a 1-year separation before returning as a traveler

Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract

Only 1 holiday request approved per contract

Holiday coverage includes New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day

Lab work must be completed within 3-5 days of contract signing
