Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Office Manager to oversee the daily operations of our busy medical office. Responsibilities
- Manage daily clinic operations, including scheduling, patient flow, and staff coordination to ensure seamless service delivery
- Oversee medical administrative support functions such as medical records management, billing, coding, and documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other health regulation policies
- Supervise healthcare staff including nursing personnel, administrative team, and clinical support staff; foster a positive team environment through effective communication and leadership
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as ECW and other EHR (Electronic Health Records) platforms for accurate patient data entry and management
- Monitor fiscal activities including budgeting, financial management, medical billing processes, and resource allocation to optimize practice efficiency
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations like JCAHO standards, HIPAA privacy rules, and utilization management policies
- Coordinate human resources functions including hiring, training, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
Requirements
- Proven experience in medical office management or healthcare practice management within clinical settings such as dental offices or hospitals
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations including HIPAA privacy standards and health policy compliance
- Extensive experience with EMR/EHR systems such as ECW proficiency in Microsoft Office suite for reporting and communication purposes
- Demonstrated supervisory experience managing healthcare teams in fast-paced environments with excellent managerial communication skills
- Familiarity with medical terminology, medical billing procedures, and patient management software
- Ability to handle fiscal responsibilities including budgeting, financial management, and managed care processes
- Acute care or hospital experience is highly desirable; knowledge of JCAHO standards is a plus
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail in a busy clinic setting
