The Data Entry Typist is responsible for accurately typing, updating, and managing digital information across various company systems. This role supports data integrity, ensures timely information flow, and helps maintain accurate operational documentation. The position is primarily remote, but employees may occasionally visit the facility for training, audits, or collaboration.
Type and input large volumes of operational and client data into company databases with speed and precision.
Perform daily data verification, error detection, and correction for consistency and accuracy.
Convert handwritten or scanned documents into digital formats using standard templates.
Coordinate with logistics and operations teams to confirm data related to inventory, shipment, or production.
Organize, maintain, and back up electronic files to ensure easy retrieval and compliance.
Prepare and format reports, spreadsheets, and digital records for leadership review.
Communicate clearly with supervisors and colleagues in remote or on-site settings to align workflows.
Adhere to data privacy, confidentiality, and quality-control standards across remote and physical systems.
Meet daily productivity and accuracy targets to support company-wide efficiency.
Participate in team meetings virtually or in person, depending on scheduling needs.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required; associate or bachelor's degree preferred.
1-3 years of experience in data entry, transcription, or administrative support.
Experience working in logistics, warehouse operations, or data management preferred.
Demonstrated ability to perform data-heavy tasks in a remote or hybrid environment.
Skills & Attributes
Fast and accurate typing speed (minimum 65 WPM preferred).
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Google Workspace tools.

Standard hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m.
