Established and highly respected family law firm seeking an experienced Texas Family Law Paralegal to support a Board-Certified Family Law attorney with an active litigation practice throughout Harris County and surrounding counties.
This is not an entry-level position. We are seeking a seasoned family law paralegal who can immediately contribute to a fast-paced practice with minimal supervision.
Required Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of recent Texas family law paralegal experience
- Extensive experience handling family law matters from intake through final orders
- Working knowledge of Harris County and surrounding county local rules, procedures, and filing requirements
- Experience supporting contested litigation, mediations, temporary orders hearings, and trial preparation
- Strong drafting skills, including:
- *Original Petitions and Answers
- *Counter-Petitions
- *Temporary Orders
- *Enforcement actions
- *Modifications
- *Discovery requests and responses
- *Inventories and Appraisements
- *Mediated Settlement Agreements
- *Final Decrees and related closing documents
- Experience e-filing in Texas courts
- Ability to manage deadlines, maintain case progression, and proactively identify issues requiring attorney attention
Preferred Qualifications
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Experience in Harris County, Fort Bend County, Montgomery County, Galveston County, Brazoria County, Waller County, or Liberty County family courts
- Familiarity with Clio or similar case management systems
