Job Summary
MyFamily Braces is seeking a dependable, experienced, and patient-focused Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our established orthodontic team. We are looking for someone who takes pride in delivering excellent patient care, works efficiently, and contributes positively to a professional team environment.
Duties
- Assist the orthodontist during bonding, debonding, adjustments, appliance delivery, and other clinical procedures
- Prepare patients, treatment areas, instruments, and materials for appointments
- Take digital photographs, impressions, scans, and orthodontic records as assigned
- Change archwires, elastomeric ties, power chains, and other orthodontic components as permitted
- Provide patients and parents with clear instructions regarding appliances, elastics, oral hygiene, and treatment compliance
- Document treatment accurately in the patient record
- Sterilize instruments and maintain proper infection-control procedures
- Clean, organize, restock, and prepare clinical work areas
- Monitor clinical supplies and help minimize material waste
- Communicate effectively with the orthodontist, clinical team, and front desk
- Help maintain an efficient patient schedule and positive office environment
Experience
- Dental assisting experience is required
- Orthodontic assisting experience is strongly preferred
- Dental assistant certificate
- Current CPR, X-Ray, OSHA, and HIPAA certification preferred
- Knowledge of dental sterilization and infection-control standards
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Professional, dependable, detail-oriented, and willing to follow established office procedures
- Comfortable working with children, teenagers, adults, and families
- Cloud 9 Orthodontics experience is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $25.00 per hour
