Part-Time Children's Music Teacher – Piano & Early Childhood Music
Ludwig Lane Studios is growing, and we are looking for an enthusiastic music teacher who loves singing, piano, and working with young children.
Our programs serve babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and elementary and middle school-aged students through engaging music experiences that develop musicianship, creativity, confidence, and a lifelong love of music.
Position Type
Part-Time
Teaching opportunities may include:
- Early childhood music classes (ages 1–4)
- Beginning piano instruction
- Small group music classes
- In-home lessons
- Studio-based lessons
Responsibilities
- Teach engaging music classes for babies, toddlers, and young children
- Lead singing activities using solfege and developmentally appropriate repertoire
- Accompany classes on piano
- Teach beginning piano skills to children
- Create a joyful, nurturing, and organized learning environment
- Communicate professionally with families and staff
- Follow studio curriculum and lesson plans
-Write lesson plans when needed
-Prepare learning materials
Qualifications
- Ability to sing confidently and in tune
- Functional piano skills
- Familiarity with solfege (Kodály experience is a plus)
- Experience working with children
-Experience with working with children with special needs
- Reliable, organized, and enthusiastic
-Must pass Livescan fingerprint/background check
Preferred Qualifications
- Music degree, Music Education degree, Liberal Studies degree, Child Development degree, or related field
- Experience teaching piano lessons
- Experience with early childhood music programs
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
-Teaching Credential
Compensation & Benefits
- Competitive hourly pay based on experience
- Travel stipends available for qualifying off-site and in-home teaching assignments
- Paid training and curriculum support ($17/hour for initial training)
- Opportunity for additional teaching hours as the studio continues to grow
