Responsibilities
- Provide professional hair styling, coloring, and hair extension services using industry best practices and current trends
- Perform specialized treatments such as hair threading, eyelash extensions, makeup application, and nail care to enhance client satisfaction
- Maintain strict sanitation standards and proper sterilization of tools in accordance with health regulations
- Utilize salon software systems like MINDBODY to schedule appointments, manage client records, and process retail sales efficiently
- Engage with clients through effective communication, understanding their needs and offering expert recommendations for hair care and retail products
- Upsell retail items such as hair care products, styling tools, and cosmetics to boost sales and meet store goals
- Assist with front desk duties including appointment booking, client check-in/out, and managing the overall salon environment
- Mentor junior team members by sharing techniques in barbering, color theory, and advanced styling methods to promote team growth
- Support store management with daily operations including inventory management and retail math calculations
Qualifications
- Valid cosmetology or barbering license required; additional certifications in eyelash extensions or nail care are a plus
- Proven experience working in the beauty industry with a strong portfolio of hair styling, coloring, and treatment services
- Proficiency with salon software such as MINDBODY for scheduling and client management
- Knowledge of sanitation protocols and salon safety standards essential for maintaining a hygienic environment
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect effectively with diverse clients and team members
- Expertise in hair coloring techniques, including color theory applications and advanced styling methods
- Experience with retail sales strategies such as upselling and retail math to enhance revenue opportunities
- Ability to perform specialized services like hair threading, makeup application, and straight razor shaving confidently
