Extrusion machine operator – Setup operator duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Clean and setup extruders
- Maintain setup and accurate in-process records
- Record running conditions and process change
- Assure material is being manufactured to the required specification
- Take care of tooling and equipment during the setup of an extruder
- Monitor cut off sheets and shop orders that are running and being setup
- Confirm correct type and amount of resin is entered into each job
- Maintain housekeeping in extrusion area
- Maintain all safety requirements
Requirements:
Demonstrated mechanical ability
- Proper use of hand and power tools
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Job experience (>2 years) in a manufacturing setting or graduation from a technical training school in a mechanical application
- Knowledge in the safe operation of the following equipment: horizontal lathes of all sizes, portable resurfacing machines and drill presses
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50lbs
