Roadway Construction, LLC is an established civil and highway general contractor based in Miami, FL. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer/Administrator to support our Project Managers and Estimators.
This role provides hands-on experience across the full lifecycle of heavy civil construction projects, including drainage, water/sewer utilities, earthwork, grading, and roadway construction. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, and eager to grow into a Project Manager role.
Job Responsibilities:

Involvement in all aspects of preparing and submitting job proposals

Addressing questions related to bidding and contracts

Solicitation of sub-contractor bids for construction projects

Attend Pre-Bid Meetings

Allocating project resources appropriately; reviewing and distributing RFIs and change orders

Read and interpret site plans, construction drawings and scopes of work

Assist in reviewing proposals, developing project objectives, identifying project responsibilities by determining the phases and elements of the project, calculating time frames and sequencing the stages of the project

Must ensure that submittals, shop drawings, and other construction documents are submitted in a timely manner and follow-up.

Maintain detailed and organized construction documents.

Willing to take on whatever task is necessary to conduct the business of the company

Communicate professionally at all times with clients, staff, subs & others

Job Requirements:

Working towards a BS in Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field.

Knowledge and understanding of civil construction principles and procedures.

Be willing, when necessary, to work nights and be open to flexible hours.

Highly organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks; Possess a meticulous attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy.

Strong ability to anticipate, recognize and respond to adverse situations.

Strong communication and analytical skills.

Proficient in MS Office, MS Project, Adobe, HeavyBid and Primavera.
- Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.
