Job Overview
A & J Dock Builders, LLC is looking for a motivated Dock Builder to join our operations team. In this hands-on role, you'll work on a variety of marine construction projects including dock fabrication, installations, repairs and seasonal removal. Ideal candidates will have a background in construction trades-carpentry, masonry, welding-or experience operating equipment and work skiffs, but above all, we're looking for someone eager to work hard, learn quickly, and thrive on a team.

At A & J Dock Builders, LLC, we specialize in unique and challenging marine construction projects for residential and commercial clients on Candlewood Lake, Lake Waramaug, and Lake Lillinonah.
Responsibilities
- Assist with construction, repairs and installation of docks, catwalks and platforms
- Operate power tools and assist with carpentry, concrete, and other jobsite tasks
- Work alongside machine operators and step into operating roles as needed (if trained)
- Collaborate with a team to meet daily construction goals and adapt to changing priorities
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in compliance with company safety policies
Ideal Qualifications
- 1+ year of construction or dock building experience preferred
- Prior Boating Experience a real PLUS!
- Hands-on skills in any of the following are helpful include: Carpentry, Masonry, Equipment Operation.
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Strong work ethic and team-first mindset
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt on the job
- Physically able to work outdoors in variable conditions and lift heavy materials
- Reliable and trustworthy

Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
