Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Pathologists’ Assistant experience
- PA(ASCP) certification required
- NAACLS-accredited education required
- Surgical Pathology experience
- Gross examination and dissection of small biopsies
- Epic/Beaker experience preferred
- Teaching hospital experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens
- Handle primarily benign lesions and biopsy specimens
- Gross colon cancer resections and native liver specimens
- Assist with research tissue procurement and tissue selection for karyotyping
- Support additional cancer case grossing based on workload
