Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and perform regular surveillance patrols to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Control access points by performing thorough background checks on visitors, contractors, and employees to ensure authorized entry.
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies by applying conflict management skills and coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct thorough inspections of personnel, packages, and facilities to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
- Operate security equipment such as Taser devices, AEDs (Automated External Defibrillators), and perform CPR when necessary to provide immediate assistance in emergencies.
- Handle manual tasks including heavy lifting when required for equipment or supplies while maintaining safety protocols.
- Document incidents accurately through detailed reports and logs to ensure compliance and facilitate investigations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance technology such as CCTV systems and experience performing background checks.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, AED operation, Taser use, and conflict management are preferred.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and effectively during various operational duties.
- Strong understanding of security procedures including loss prevention techniques and heavy lifting protocols.
- Excellent observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with team members, visitors, law enforcement agencies, and emergency responders.
