Job Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of financial concepts and be able to work individually or within a team environment.
Responsibilities:
· Review and analyze vendor invoices and purchase orders
· Compare vendor invoices to purchase orders to prepare for approval
· Verify all contents of vendor invoices have been received and are sent for approval
· Record all approved vendor invoices into Quickbooks
· Collect all approved vendor invoices and create a check run to submit for approval
· Maintain healthy relationships with all vendors of Telenet VoIP, Inc.
· Reconcile the monthly credit card statements and ensure timely processing
· Collect releases from vendors to submit to contractors upon request
· Investigate vendor statements to ensure payments have been properly distributed
· Record financial transactions into Quickbooks
· Perform all other duties assigned by supervisor or manager
Qualifications:
· Must have 2+ years of experience using Quickbooks
· Must be proficient in Excel and other Office Suite applications
· Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any related business field is preferred
· 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
· Strong attention to detail
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
· Proficiency in accounting software and journal entry creation
