Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Cost Accountant to join our finance team. Duties
- Develop and maintain detailed financial models to analyze costs, profitability, and budget forecasts.
- Prepare accurate cost reports and assist in the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Monitor and analyze manufacturing or operational costs, identifying areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Support mergers & acquisitions activities by conducting due diligence, valuation analysis, and integration planning.
- Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards, including industry-specific financial regulations and tax accounting requirements.
- Collaborate with internal teams on project management initiatives related to cost control and financial planning.
- Conduct audits of cost records and support external auditors during financial audits to ensure transparency and accuracy.
- Utilize financial software and spreadsheets to track expenses, analyze trends, and prepare reports for management review.
- Communicate effectively with clients or internal stakeholders regarding cost analysis findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in accounting or finance roles, with a strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel spreadsheets for data analysis and modeling.
- Experience developing financial models that support strategic decision-making processes.
- Knowledge of industry-specific financial regulations, GAAP standards, and tax accounting practices.
- Familiarity with financial software systems used for accounting, reporting, and analysis purposes.
- Strong analysis skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets accurately.
- Experience supporting mergers & acquisitions or other corporate finance projects is a plus.
- Excellent client communication skills to clearly present findings and collaborate effectively across teams.
- Demonstrated project management capabilities to handle multiple priorities efficiently.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
