Job Title: Risk Coordinator
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt / Administrative Employee
Pay Range: $24.00 - $28.00 / Hourly
Reports To: Risk Manager/Director of Human Resources
Purpose:
The Risk Coordinator is responsible for assisting in leading the company’s efforts to create a culture of safety by enforcing all safety rules and work practices for the company. This position must lead, by personally always modeling safe work practices, while always encouraging all team members and managers to always employ all company safety policies.
Essential Functions
- Interact directly, timely, and in a courteous manner with all parties who operate Kuna equipment and vehicles.

Responsible for safety meeting preparation and presentations, which includes coordination of meetings/training designated for specific departments across the company.

Coordinate safety memorandums and other information for the company and communicate these to all team members in regular safety meetings.

Coordinate safety education and training for all team members within the Company.
- Act as safety liaison between team members, departments and Management.

Participate in required committees and teams as needed and requested.

Auditing for OSHA and issuing new hire, post-accident and refresher training for OSHA safety compliance.

Daily risk management walks to find and fix any unsafe items.

Report and correct any unsafe actions, items or reports from employees in a timely manner.

Complete any other assigned projects as requested by Kuna Leadership designated for risk/safety purposes.
Qualifications

Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations and OSHA standards.
- Ability to work independently and in an office team environment.

Ability to follow complex oral and written instructions.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals.

Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and exercise effective time management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills while having the ability to influence internal and external contacts.

Attention to detail and computer proficiency.
Education and/or Other Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Working knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Regulations

Working knowledge of Occupational Safety & Health Administration standards
