Owen Electric Company is launching a Medium Voltage Division to support our growing portfolio of data center, industrial, and mission-critical electrical construction projects.
We are seeking an experienced Medium Voltage Superintendent to lead the development and field execution of medium voltage systems ranging from 5kV through 35kV. This individual will play a key role in establishing our internal MV capability, building field crews, and delivering high-quality installations on large-scale projects.
This is a unique ground floor opportunity for a leader with strong medium voltage experience to help build and shape a new division within a rapidly growing electrical contractor.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead installation of 5kV – 35kV electrical distribution systems
- Oversee medium voltage scope including:
· duct banks
· cable pulling
· cable terminations
· cable splicing
· switchgear installation
· transformer installation
· Substation builds
- Coordinate with utilities, engineers, and project management teams for energization and commissioning
- Develop and mentor medium voltage foremen and technicians
- Assist in building MV installation standards and best practices
- Plan and supervise medium voltage cable pulling operations
- Ensure all work meets safety, quality, and industry standards
- Coordinate with project teams to maintain schedules
- Support preconstruction teams with constructability input and planning
Required Experience
- 15+ years electrical construction experience
- 7+ years working with medium voltage systems as a Superintendent
- Proven experience with:
· MV cable installation
· cable terminations
· shielded cable systems
· MV switchgear
· Transformers
· Substation builds
- Strong understanding of one-line diagrams and electrical distribution systems
- Experience coordinating with utility providers
- Experience leading crews on large commercial or industrial projects
Preferred Experience
- Data center, industrial and mission-critical project experience
- Experience with medium voltage splicing and stress cones
- Background working for large electrical contractors or utility contractors
- Experience commissioning medium voltage systems

Pay: $135,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
