Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Welder I to join our manufacturing and construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for performing various welding tasks to assemble, repair, and fabricate metal components according to specifications. Your expertise will contribute to the successful completion of projects on time and within quality standards. Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine welding requirements.
- Perform MIG (Metal Inert Gas) with precision and adherence to safety standards.
- Use hand tools, power tools, plasma cutters, and other fabrication equipment to shape and assemble metal parts.
- Measure materials accurately with calipers, micrometers, and other measuring devices to ensure proper fit and alignment.
- Prepare surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, or cutting sheet metal and ductwork components.
- Operate rigging equipment such as overhead cranes and forklifts safely during material handling and assembly processes.
- Follow AWS D1.1 codes & standards for welding procedures, and fabrication quality assurance.
- Maintain a clean work environment by organizing tools, inspecting work areas, and adhering to safety protocols.
- Collaborate with team members on mechanical assembly, and fabrication projects.
- Document work progress accurately in logs and reports as required.
Qualifications
- Proven construction site experience with hands-on welding in industrial or manufacturing settings.
- Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings effectively.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, plasma cutting equipment, and schematics.
- Knowledge of fabrication processes including sheet metal work, ductwork assembly, and machining operations.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
- Mechanical knowledge related to rigging, mechanical assembly, soldering, and the use of schematics.
- Valid certification or demonstrated experience with AWS codes & standards is a plus.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
