Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards for various elementary grade levels.
- Utilize differentiated instruction techniques to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, including students with special education needs and those requiring early intervention.
- Integrate educational technology tools to enhance classroom engagement and facilitate interactive learning experiences.
- Monitor student progress regularly through formative and summative assessments, analyzing data to tailor instruction effectively.
- Manage classroom behavior proactively with effective behavior management strategies to create a positive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues, specialists, and parents to support student development, including conducting parent-teacher conferences and maintaining clear communication channels.
- Incorporate literacy and numeracy strategies into daily activities, ensuring mastery of foundational skills such as writing, reading, and math.
- Support inclusive education practices by working with students with autism or other special needs, ensuring equitable access to learning opportunities.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to curriculum implementation, childhood development, and educational compliance standards.
- Contribute to school-wide initiatives such as library services, standardized testing preparation, and extracurricular activities like physical education or tutoring programs.
Requirements
- Communicating effectively with students and parents concerning students progress, working both independently and with the department team to ensure student success; strong interpersonal and classroom management skills.
Qualifications
Applicants must have one of the following;
- Previously Taught in a Florida Public or Private School for 3 or more years or;
- Bachelor's Degree (4 years from an accredited university)
Compensation
Benefits and compensation include:
- Base Salary is negotiable between $37,500 - $40,000, a year
- Participation in 403(b) Retirement Plan is available immediately, upon hire
- Employer Matching Contributions towards Retirement Plan, after 1 year of employment
