Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain powertrain components, including engines, transmissions, and drive axles.
- Conduct vehicle suspension system repairs and wheel alignments to ensure optimal handling and safety.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams accurately for electrical system troubleshooting and repairs.
- Service ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) features to enhance vehicle safety functionalities.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently for repairs, replacements, and adjustments.
- Maintain detailed records of all work performed, ensuring compliance with manufacturer standards and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Proven dealership or automotive repair experience with a solid understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Experience working on GM vehicles or similar makes is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, vehicle transmission systems, diesel engine repairs, and vehicle maintenance practices.
- Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and technical software to identify issues quickly and accurately.
- Ability to work with hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment safely and effectively.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate clearly with clients about repairs needed and completed work.
- Knowledge of vehicle suspension systems, wheel alignment procedures, and vehicle systems troubleshooting is highly desirable.
