Summary:
This role will report to the Engineering Leader and support Metrology, Production, Manufacturing and Quality Departments. They will be responsible to set up and guide the operators through special studies and projects. They will work with operators to be sure they are knowledgeable in writing up parts and filling out the necessary paperwork. This role will train Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) operators on proper procedures, including proper loading methods. They will also work with Maintenance Department to initiate improvements to avoid defects created by loading, reduce injuries, etc.. This role will also load and run parts for new projects until the operators are trained and programs finalized through the quality process.
Essential Functions:
- Technical support for CMM Operators
- Disposition nonconforming parts for MRB.
- Support qualification and maintenance of CMM operator PR authority.
- Maintain the Master Blade Schedule and ensure accurate updates within EMAN.
- Generate and implement MOCs and FMEAs for metrology related processes.
- Maintain EMAN/CMM configuration control, including tolerance locks, nominal updates, weight settings, and system parameters.
- Generate and maintain RI Plans as required.
- Perform audits of nominal data, drawings, CAD geometry, CMM programs, fixtures, gages, pedestals, vise jaws, racks, and related tooling.
- Manage CID changes and ensure consistent implementation across CMM programs and reporting platforms.
- Develop and maintain Planning and SQA documentation for CMM Programs and Visual Inspection.
- Perform First Article Inspections (FAIs) and ensure documentation accuracy.
- Validate and maintain calibration of CMM spheres and components, including updating calibration data within CMM systems.
- Develop CM4D templates and collaborate with Engineering to ensure accurate reporting and visualization.
- Reprocess blade software reports and generate plots upon request.
- Support development and testing of future GE AFDA software.
- Conduct or facilitate Correlation, CDMS, and GR&R activities for software buyoff and measurement system validation.
- Track and publish quarterly CMM utilization reports.
- Other duties as assigned by department leadership
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Professional training/experience
- Programming on PCDMIS environment
- Programming and using BLADE
- Managing program library with Document Control
- Participate in establishing programing strategy/best practices and methods of manufacturing
- Modeling and analysis in UG NX10 (or current version)
- Comprehension of technical drawings and GD&T
- Basic Machining Process and tolerances knowledge
- 3-6 years related experience

Performing the duties of this job will require the ability to lift files, open filing cabinets and bend or stand when necessary; mostly requires sitting and working on computer/phone. Reaching: Occasionally while mounting blades in root clamps and placing on the inspection tables. Grasping/Handling: Occasionally while mounting blades in root clamps and placing on the inspection tables. Occasional loading of parts into holding fixtures is desired.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
