Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Upsell menu items and specials to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales
- Serve food and drinks efficiently, ensuring proper food handling and sanitation standards are maintained
- Manage guest relations by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and ensuring a positive experience
- Assist with food preparation, bussing tables, and supporting kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering duties using POS systems like OpenTable or similar platforms
Requirements
- Prior restaurant or food service experience, particularly in fine dining environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; familiarity with OpenTable is a plus
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly
- Knowledge of food safety protocols, sanitation standards, and proper food handling procedures
- Experience with food industry tools including serving trays, bussing supplies, and basic math for cash handling
- Culinary or kitchen experience is advantageous but not required; willingness to learn is essential
- Previous host/hostess or food industry roles that demonstrate guest relations skills are highly valued
