Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Painter to oversee and execute high-quality painting projects across residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Duties
- Lead and coordinate painting teams on various construction and renovation sites, ensuring efficient workflow and high standards of craftsmanship.
- Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to accurately plan painting procedures and surface preparations.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, plastering, caulking, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion of paints and coatings.
- Apply paints using hand tools, brushes, rollers, conventional spray systems, or airless paint sprayers for residential, commercial, or industrial projects.
- Conduct surface testing with visual color comparison tools to achieve precise color matches aligned with client specifications.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations by utilizing appropriate respiratory protection, fall protection measures, and safe handling of hazardous materials.
- Manage construction estimating tasks related to paint quantities and costs for project planning and budgeting purposes.
- Maintain detailed documentation of work progress, safety inspections, and quality control checks throughout each project phase.
Experience
- Proven experience in construction painting with a strong background in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.
- Skilled in construction site experience including surface preparation, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and renovation projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency with hand tools, power tools, scaffolding setup, welding (where applicable), and the operation of airless spray equipment.
- Knowledge of construction painting surface preparation techniques such as sanding, plastering, caulking, masonry finishing (stucco), and concrete finishing.
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to construction painting including respiratory protection protocols and hazard mitigation strategies.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately and perform basic math calculations for estimating materials needed.
- Experience in restoration work or fixture installation is a plus; additionally, handyman skills such as carpentry or masonry can enhance project versatility.
Pay: $28.00 - $29.00 per hour
