Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Engage with customers warmly, providing outstanding customer service to enhance their café experience
- Operate POS systems: Toast to process retail sales transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cashing out customers, managing cash handling procedures, and balancing registers at the end of shifts
- Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards by adhering to proper food handling and food preparation protocols
- Assist in food service tasks, including serving meals and bakery as needed
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS system - Toast, Clover or other
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, energetic attitude
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy hours
