Job Description
The primary responsibility of the Ready Mix Truck Driver is to safely, accurately, and efficiently deliver ready-mix concrete to our customers and jobsites.
The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, hardworking, and customer-service oriented. Drivers must be comfortable operating a heavy commercial vehicle in a variety of environments, including construction sites and off-road conditions.
Basic Qualifications & Skills
- Valid Commercial Class B CDL required.
- Tanker Endorsement preferred.
- Must maintain a safe and acceptable driving record.
- Must be able to follow instructions from management, customers, and the Dispatch Office.
- Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Spanish-speaking ability is a plus.
- Knowledge of local delivery areas, roads, and landmarks is preferred.
- Strong defensive driving skills.
- Ability to safely operate and maneuver a mixer truck on roads, construction sites, and off-road conditions.
- Ability to work safely in sometimes difficult or changing jobsite conditions.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds several times throughout the workday.
- Must be dependable and willing to work as part of a team.
Job Requirements
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Must possess a valid Commercial Class B Driver's License.
- Tanker Endorsement is preferred.
- Must have a clean and acceptable driving record.
- Previous Ready Mix or commercial driving experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right individual with the right attitude.
- Paid training is available for qualified candidates.
