This position is supervised by the Warehouse Manager. The Warehouse Manager has the authority to direct the work of and evaluate the Assistant Warehouse Manager position. Comments are made through verbal and written instructions and by physical demonstration, as necessary. Evaluations are written and done at the conclusion of the introductory/training period and then annually.
This position interacts with, engages and supervises all warehouse associate staff under the close supervision of the Warehouse Manager. POSITION PURPOSE
The purpose of the Assistant Warehouse Manager position is to learn & execute all aspects of the warehouse duties as well as engage and assist the warehouse manager in all aspects of shipping, receiving and inventory control at the warehouse. As directed by the Warehouse Manager, the duties detailed below will be performed personally or through coordination with other group associates. Indirectly supervises all warehouse staff. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities also include the training of subordinates, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining subordinate, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience/Training:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Two years related experience
MINIMUM ABILITY TO SAFELY USE AND OPERATE THE FOLLOWING EQUIPMENT
- Standard office equipment
- Equipment typically associated with this position within thirty (30) days
- Forklift
