What You’ll Do
As a Surgical Technologist in Sterile Processing, you’ll be a key player in ensuring every instrument that reaches a patient is safe, sterile, and ready for use.
You’ll also help guide the team and support the manager with daily workflow needs.
You will:

Participate in receiving, processing, delivering, tracking, and preparing safe instrumentation for hospital and patient use

Decontaminate and sterilize instruments, medical supplies, and equipment
-
Assemble, wrap, and sterilize instrument trays with accuracy and attention to detail
-
Follow all Standard Precautions in decontamination and sterilization areas

Monitor biological and chemical wash solutions to ensure consistent, high‑quality processing

Use the instrument tracking system to update and maintain accurate instrument details

Perform basic equipment troubleshooting before escalating to Biomed or OEM
-
Provide direction and coordination to personnel during assigned shifts
-
Provide daily station assignments to support smooth departmental workflow

Assist with quality assessments and help identify training and educational opportunities for staff
What You’ll Need
Minimum
-
Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program
-
Current BLS certification
Preferred
-
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) – NBSTSA
-
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – HSPA
-
Previous experience as a Surgical Technologist
