Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Housekeeping Supervisor to lead our cleaning and custodial teams in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety across our facilities. In this role, you will oversee daily housekeeping operations, supervise staff, ensure compliance with sanitation regulations, and promote a positive environment focused on exceptional service delivery. Duties
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, sanitation, laundry, and janitorial tasks
- Lead, motivate, and manage housekeeping staff to ensure high-quality service and adherence to safety regulations
- Develop work schedules, assign tasks, and monitor team performance to meet operational standards
- Conduct regular inspections of facilities to ensure cleanliness, sanitation, and safety compliance in line with industry standards
- Implement training programs on cleaning techniques, safety procedures, and sanitation management for staff
- Oversee industrial cleaning projects and commercial cleaning operations to maintain hygiene standards across all areas
- Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment; ensure proper use and storage according to safety regulations
- Address customer service concerns promptly; foster a team environment focused on hospitality excellence
- Enforce safety protocols related to cleaning procedures, chemical handling, and equipment operation
- Prepare reports on housekeeping activities, incident documentation, and operational improvements
Qualifications
- Proven experience supervising cleaning teams within hospitality or commercial environments
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including industrial cleaning, sanitation practices, and janitorial procedures
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively and communicate managerial expectations clearly
- Experience with management of laundry services and custodial operations preferred
- Familiarity with safety regulations related to chemical handling, equipment use, and workplace safety standards
- Excellent customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest or visitor experiences
- Ability to prioritize tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail in fast-paced settings
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing inventories of cleaning supplies and equipment
