Position Overview:
Bethany School’s Elementary Teachers work diligently to provide a caring, Christ-centered, and future-focused environment in our Kindergarten through fifth grade classrooms. This position involves teaching academic and Biblical subject to students, fostering their growth both academically and spiritually. Our teachers model excellence in teaching, learning, critical thinking, and communication, offering rigorous and engaging educational experience in a faith-based setting.
Duties:
· Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
· Foster a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
· Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles and abilities, including special education needs, working with Bethany School’s B.E.S.T. program.
· Conduct assessments and standardize testing to evaluate student progress and adapt instruction accordingly.
· Maintain effective classroom management techniques to promote a respectful and productive learning atmosphere.
· Mentor students in their academic and person growth, providing guidance and support as needed.
· Incorporate technology into the classroom to enhance learning experiences, including literacy education and math instruction.
· Organize physical education activities that promote health and wellness among students.
· Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and administration to support student success and address any concerns.
· Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with educational best practices.
· Plan and deliver engaging lessons in alignment with school curriculum and standards.
· Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners.
· Foster a positive, respectful classroom community.
· Integrate biblical principles into daily teaching and classroom life.
· Communicate effectively with parents, staff, and administration.
· Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development.
· Attend overnight class trips as assigned by administration (4th & 5th grades).
Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Education
· Valid teaching credential
· Previous elementary teaching experience preferred
· Strong classroom management and communication skills
